Edita for Blumarine

This newest fall/winter Blumarine ad brings up Edita's campaign total to 4! She's now nabbed K by Karl Lagerfeld, Calvin Klein White Label, Dolce & Gabbana and Italian label Blumarine. We've only seen one campaign so far, and I'm waiting on the other two, but this image should hold off for a while!
Its a throwback to Edita's recent Vogue Paris editorial which makes me wonder if this ad was shot by Patrick Demarchelier as well. I love the 60's feel and hopefully there will be more images!

Models Talk: Edita Vilkeviciute

Sweetrus at thefashionspot posted a great new interview with Edita at the Fall Winter 2009/2010 shows. I can't get over how adorable and friendly this girl is! Its refreshing to see a really down to earth model amidst all of the backstage chaos.

For a quick recap:

Edita loves Karl Lagerfeld, and sends all her good words to him
She has a very simple style, but would love to wear really "out there" things
She won a modeling competition, traveled to Barcelona and things went up from there
She used to attend a music school where she played the piano (for eleven years), guitar, drums and , wait for this, the accordion!

Edita's Calvin Klein White Label campaign images still haven't been released but hopefully soon, seeing as how the August issues are now rolling out.

Dolce and Gabbana Fall Winter 2009 2010

The new campaign season is just starting, and already Edita has two campaigns under her belt! Calvin Klein White Label is yet to be released, but photos are just coming out from the new Dolce & Gabbana. Edita stars along with Mariacarla Boscono and Heidi Mount in a lavish new shoot. Like many D&G ads prior to this one, the setting is very decadent and decorated.
I've never really paid attention to Dolce & Gabbana ads much, but this season has really caught my eye. I love the use of lighting, which just makes this season's collection pop, and both Edita and Heidi are among my favourite models.

Calvin Klein White Label

Recently Edita was at the Calvin Klein Collection's High Line Party in NYC. She looked great - I think she easily pulls off the refined Calvin Klein look. Which is great considering she will be in the Calvin Klein White Label campaign along with male model Jamie Dornan.
I love Fabien Barons work with the brand, and they often turn out stunning images, so there are high hopes for this campaign.

L’Express Styles

A few new pictures, but no information on where they are from. Edita was recently shot for an editorial along with German model Toni Garrn. The two are featured in Chanel clothing, and it seems as if this was shot right after the Chanel show. In any chance, it is definitely Venice, with the telling boardwalk and surrounding beach

Louis Vuitton Monogram

Recently Edita's pictures made their way to many email accounts around the world. She posed for the Louis Vuitton press kit for their Mon Monogram Service. Hopefully this will lead to bigger things .... like a campaign ...

A quick look at one of Edita's stunning beauty editorials in the June/July 2008 issue of Vogue Paris. I've always thought that Edita's refined looks were a perfect fit for beauty shots, and these images prove this theory right.

Numero 104

Edita stars in a new fragrance editorial in Numero 104. Although nudity can be reduntant in fashion and I was initially wary of the images, I quite like them now. Someone on the Fashion Spot remarked that Edita didn't have to wear clothes as she is wearing the perfume. This immediately reminded me of Marylin Monroe's infamous quote of wearing nothing but Chanel No. 5 to bed.
I love how the chiaroscuro perfectly highlights Edita's bone structure - these are really beautiful shots.

Numéro Korea June 2009 : Edita Vilkeviciute

Edita has nabbed a Numero Tokyo cover, and rightfully so. She should be getting more printwork - I think her looks strike the very fine line between commercial and high fashion and her face translates very well onto covers.
Just the other day I was thinking that Numero Korea has remarkable covers for such a new publication and Edita's cover is no exception.

Deja Vu

No, you're not seeing the same cover. Edita in fact graces the May 2009 issue of Vogue Hellas. It's a reprint of the Vogue Australia June 2009 cover, which is a reprint from a Vogue Paris editorial! I have to say I like Vogue Hellas' version (at right) a lot better - the green just pops against Edita's outfit. The Vogue Australia version was just a bit too pink in the long run.

Derek Lam Store Opening

I forgot to post this picture of Edita at a recent event. She attended the Derek Lam Store Opening in NYC, which means she must have been in town to do some work ... and Anna Wintour, of all people, was at the event so maybe this means more US Vogue work?

Lady In Red

Edita was at the Chanel Cruise 2010 show in Venice. Karl made the crowd wait two hours for the show to start. He wanted the sunset to be a perfect backdrop, and it proved beautiful against the rich red clothes and nautical

Edita was beautiful as well, in a red wig reminiscent of twenties flappers and Peggy Guggenheim (Karl's supposed inspiration for the show).

Models as Muses

Edita made an appearance at the 2009 Costume Institute Gala in New York. A classic beautiful Chanel outfit ... hmm, maybe she is hinting at a future campaign?

Edita has a Vogue Australia June 2009 cover, and even though it's a reprint, it's a striking shot.
